The order arrived right on schedule. A few of the individual squares had split but are easy to fix back in place using the tile cement (Bal White, as I was fixing them to wood stair risers). The mosaic slate looks very good when grouted, providing you follow the instructions and seal the slate before grouting. Cleaning off is not too hard, if you wipe off as much of the grout film as you can before it dries with a damp sponge and plenty of clean water. I used HG cement grout film remover, which proved OK since the slate was already sealed (the instructions say don't use on slates except Norwegian blue).

Very rustic, quite dark. Well secured to backing. Nice with grey grout.
